Submagic alternative
A Submagic alternative that finishes the whole edit
Submagic made auto-captions and quick B-roll normal for short-form creators. Zupum takes the same one-upload idea further: captions synced word by word, cutaways matched to your sentences, background music, sound effects, transitions, colour grading and a thumbnail - all in a single pass, all still editable.
Where creators hit the ceiling
Captions and a few cutaways get a reel to "fine". What is missing is the polish that makes it look produced: a score that matches the pace, a sound effect on the cut, a colour grade that fixes flat phone footage, a thumbnail you did not have to make in another app.
- Music and sound design usually added elsewhere
- No colour pass on flat phone footage
- Thumbnails made in a separate tool
- Limited control once the AI has decided
What Zupum adds on top
The AI builds every layer from your actual speech, and each section has an On/Off switch so you can strip or restore a whole layer in one click.
- 90 caption styles including one-word-at-a-time looks
- Stock and AI-generated B-roll, or your own uploads
- Keyed cutout of you over cutaways and chosen backdrops
- Background music, sound effects and 30 transitions
- Auto colour grading, noise removal and filler-word cleanup
- 12 publish-ready thumbnails and multiple export formats
